This drawing study - every day for one year - was inspired while living in Toronto. Given that the environment visually changes continually; the same drawing/painting one day will appear entirely different the next.

This study covers 8 months of approximately 250 sketches - one per day - of the subject viewed from the same vantage point for one month. The sketches are noted with words and values (numbers 1 white to 10 black) for reference at the painting stage in the studio.

I chose alternate locations as the subject, when I was unable to make it to the Burrard Bridge. The drawings would take from 1 to 30 minutes. Some random, but welcomed, site conditions - time constraints or pen vs pencil which ever was the closest - allowed me to explore and find something new in the line work.
