This series of Life Drawings is from my drawing class at OCAD University.

Gesture drawings are quick sketch drawings intended to capture the essence of the figure with very few lines. Done quickly the artist focuses on the overall expression of the model and their pose, with no attention on textures or small details. Often a main singular line or lines define the ‘motion’ of the model, around which the following line work - parts of the figure - holds to.

The in-class model poses and drawings shown here were completed in; 30 seconds, 1 or 2 minutes.
